If you are not qualified in childcare or haven't worked as a nanny before we also recommend you complete our trainee nanny certificate.
What experience do I need?
For nanny roles, we expect a minimum of two years childcare experience and/ or a nannying or childcare qualification. We usually expect you to be able to commit to a role for a minimum of 12 months.
For trainee nanny positions we consider all levels of experience but you must have at least three childcare related referees we can contact to discuss your suitability. These could include babysitting references.
For Australian roles it is a requirement that you hold a full drivers licence. If you are looking for work overseas a drivers licence is not required.
